Any recommendations for a good rear light, or a mixture of two.

The bracket on mine broke and it was a rolson cheapie.

I need it as I ride into the sun both going to and from work and would like something to warn drivers I am there

thanks

I'm very impressed with this PDW Radbot 1W

I don't think anyone could miss it! The constant mode is irritating enough, let alone either of the flashing modes.

I bought it as I wanted something that would fit to the chainstay, and I didn't have a reflector either so this one made my Trek Pilot 'legal' for night-time riding again (except I don't have pedal reflectors but that's another story).
  • I've had one of these for about a week now and it seems to do the job very well. The other reviews all seem pretty good and at £12.50 for a bright rechargable light you can't go wrong.

Moon Shield. Very bright light, charges off usb. Has five settings, standard, high, overdrive, flashing and strobe.

    Run times stated here. http://www.moon-sport.com/product-detail.php?id=11

+1 for the Moon shield, seriously bright, small, light, compact and rechargeable with battery inside, what's not to like, I found the cheapest was on ebay.
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.

Another vote for the MoonShield; flash mode is great unless you're riding in a pack. Still using it for morning rides into low sun. (I've lost the rubber bung on the charge port, but use a bit of electrical tape or blutac.)

Don't get a Blackburn Click. Bright, yes. Waterproof, no.

  • I use a combination of the Cateye TL-LD1100 (running 2300mAh NiMH AA batteries) and the Exposure Flare with an Exposure Red Eye on the lid - I use the Flash & Flare combination even in daylight now and they have reduced the number of near misses for motorists significantly.
