Silly Commuter Injuries

Cycling, especially commuting is not safe. We must dispel this myth lest the roads become strewn with the rotting corpses of felled nodders and the rusting remains of what for them passed as a bike.

This thread is for sharing your bicycle induced traumas.

Posting photos of injuries sustained and damage dealt would be great if you have them. Obviously don't go snapping away until it is safe to do so.

I'll dig out some pics of mine later.
I used to just ride my bike to work but now I find myself going out looking for bigger and bigger hills.

This is from when my left hand crank snapped, luckily I was doing 10 mph at the time so only fell onto the tarmac but did sustain so nice colourful bruises.

Right thigh from where it me the top tube

Lower left ribs where I hit the tarmac and my mobile cushioned the fall.

I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

Neat repair works done 2 years after getting knocked off riding home. 3 holes, decompressed shoulder and out of the hospital within 4 hours of 'coming round'. Painful once the nerve block wore off. Sling off next day to get joint moving again. Oozed a bit !

Don't have the X-Rays that show the broken vertebra, I'm afraid.
Sometimes parts break. Sometimes you crash. Sometimes it’s your fault.
