Hi there, I'm pleased to say I'm coming back to the dark side having sold my road bike to fund my new mountain bike! I have a Giro Monza road helmet which I want to use with my mountain bike. I was wondering if anybody has fitted a peak to this lid? I'm guessing that one of the may Giro replacement peaks for other models will fit it with a bit of glue/tinkering and save me buying a mtb specific lid. Any advice appriciated, cheers

Rob

    Hi Rob,
Surely you mean you're coming back from the dark side to re-join the rebel alliance?
The Monza doesn't have any holes to clip a peak to so a bit of fettling would be required, but it could be done. Alternatively, why not budget for a nice new lid when you're shopping for the bike? That way you'll be able to ride in confidence, knowing the glue isn't going to un-stick when it rains.

Would use it as it is. Nothing worries MTBrs more than a roadie on a MTB.
