One tooth too many...?

Just checking before I hit the button;
Will I have any issues using this rear mech if my large ring is 36T and rear cassette is a 11-32T?
XT M780 Short Cage;

It clearly states a 35T chainring as the maximum but also says it's compatible with an 11-36T cassette. So surely if my biggest rear sprocket is only 32T I should be OK with the one-tooth-too-large chainring?
Cheers.

What front rings are you using - total capacity is 35, so big-small chainring + big-small cog.
Rear is 21, so as long as the difference at the front is 14 or less you should be fine.I don't do smileys.

aha - I see. Well front is a 22/36 so it's bang on 35.
Nice one - Thanks for clearing that up!"Why have that extra tooth if you're not using it?" - Brian Lopes
