Urgent help beofre tomorrows ride

Ive replace the chain and front mech on my bike and set it all up and shifts fine.

But on my last ride I kept getting chain suck and the chain would wrap around the front ring especially when changing from the biggest to middle ring.

Just got round to having a look, when on the biggest 3 rear cogs and the biggest chainring when i peddle backwards the chain jumps down the cassette and the chain seems to get sucked down towards the cage of the front mech.

On the middle ring the chain doesnt jump down the cassette but it still gets sucked down into the front mech.

Any ideas what I have wrong.

Is a 3 x 9 set up XT front and rear mechs

This is a gear (big ring/big cog) you don't have to use - it is replicated twice elsewhere with a straighter chainline.

Also new chains don't always take to old chairings, they too may need replacing.
