Good deal? Boardman pro carbon

I've been looking for a decent, lightweight xc hardtail for a while but most are v.expensive.

I notice Halfords have the reduced the Boardman Pro Carbon down to £1399 so, with the NUS code this is available for around £1260. This seems a pretty good price to me for a carbon bike that comes in at around 10.5kg.

Does anyone have experience of this bike or can anyone recommend a similar, better value lightweight xc bike?
