Hi

I am looking to enter the 29er world and have been looking at the variety and have sort of managed to narrow it down to two bikes and I would like your input on which one you would prefer.

The bikes are

Cube Acid 29er - http://www.cube.eu/29er/acid-29/

Focus Black Forest 3.0 - http://www.focus-bikes.com/int/en/bikes/bikes-2012/category/mtb-hardtail-11/subcategory/29r/model/black-forest-29r-30-6.html

Although the weight is not listed I was told at the bike shop that the weight of the Focus bike was 13.2 kg (the same as for the cube)

The prize of the both bikes is almost the same where I am buying (Iceland) so that is not an issue to consider.

Based on specs, which would you prefer?

Or if you have personal experience with either bike, feel free to comment.

cheers.

Been looking at a Focus Black Forest 2 29er today. Thought it looked quite nice and I'm thinking about getting one on the b2w scheme. Anyone got any views on this bike? The others that are in contention are the Specialized Carve Comp and Genesis Core 26.3 (yeah, I know that's a plain old 26" bike but it's so pretty).

Should there be anyhting else I should be considering? Basically I'm looking for something I can use for long days in the saddle, 30 mile round trip commutes and sedate(ish) trail riding. I've got my enduro for the gnar. Been riding a Genesis Croix de Fer for the last 2 years and I like it but I just want something more capable off road.

ps only looking at edinburgh cycles as that's the only shop my company deal with.
