Giant TCR Alliance 2010

Got a cracking deal on this from Paul's Cycles. It's a 2010 model but have to say that of all the new bikes I've had this was probably in the best out of the box condition - you'd never think that it'd been hanging around in storage for a couple of years!
Apologies for crap pictures. I haven't got a white garage door (or any colour garage door) but I promise to take some better pics in the day light when I get chance.

Spec as follows:
Frame: Carbon / Allux (size medium)
Fork: Carbon
Groupset: Shimano 105 (black)
Saddle: Fizik Pave
Seatpost: Giant Composite
Stem: Giant Connect
Bar: Giant Contact
Wheels: Shimano RS10
Tyres: Michellin Dymanic
Cages: Elite Custom
Pedals: Shimano A520 (I like to be able to walk)
Saddle bag: Fizik
Also got my Knog lights on and managed to zip tie my old Specialized Comp wireless computer to it (cheap I know but can't afford a new one at the moment).
Only managed to put this on the turbo trainer but the frame looks real quality and has very nice finishing kit. Only thing I can think that I'll change are the tyres at some point but very happy with it. Also very happy with the service from Paul's. Ordered the bike at 11.45pm on Bank Holiday Monday (I was trying to make my mind up about what I was getting, you know how it is); had an email mid afternoon Tuesday to say it was packed and ready for collection and with the tracking details; was notified Wednesday that it was out for delivery and had it delivered 9.30pm Wednesday night (driver even had the common sense not to ring the door bell, just tapped gently on the door). Can't fault it.

I think white kitchen units are the new garage doors.
Love this btw.0 -
Great bike. Bought one for Mrs and have been so impressed I've taken ownership. They climb exceptionally well due do the alu/carbon mix. Maybe think about changing the wheels after you've thrashed the RS10s or treat yourself to some summer hoops. At under a £1K its a bargain, the full 105 groupset is great. Enjoy. Why tidy the house when you can clean your bike?0

Chadders81 - perhaps we could run a thread on various white things to take photos in front of? I was struggling a little to find somewhere without a background of kids toys!!
Mr Dog - Agree. Actually managed to get out for a hour and a half today. Absolutely fantastic power transfere and very comfortable. I stopped to make some on the go adjustments (changed the angle of the bars, lowered the seat by a few mill, etc) and still managed to do the ride over 10 mins quicker than I was doing last summer. Probably the combination of the frame and the traditional chainset (last road bike had a compact chainset). I know it's a cliche but I thought about going faster and I was going faster! I had a 2001 TCR Once (yellow, bladed forks, Mike Burrow's aero seatpost, Campag Daytona (pre centaur days) and thought that was the the business but this is in a different league. Here's some more photos (mainly in front of a pink thing):

I'll be thinking about the wheels. At the moment the RS10's seem ok. Don't want anything too deep so may look at a set of hand-made wheels. Tyres are probably going to be kept for winter but I am definately going to get a wider bar. The stock one is 42cm c to c - really I need a 44 (although my old trek 5900 OCLV had 46 and that was the most comfortable bike I've ever had).0 -

Just got mine delivered today from Paul's - great service and delivery.
She is all built and ready to roll - short test ride tomorrow if the weather is ok.
Any issues now you've had her for a while?0
