Ello I'm new here first post :D

After pretty much 10yrs away from Mountain Biking I took the plunge a couple of weeks back and bought myself another bike, loving it so far, great deal and only had to travel a short distance to pick it up. Here's the latest toy:

Aiming to use this bike for a very short commute when we move house and start getting back into a little bit of off roading again like back in the day! First Kona for me used to own a Specialized Rockhopper Comp many years ago

This bike just needs a bit of TLC, but it's plenty enough for what I need it for. Brakes will be the first upgrade, which to be honest I'm going to need some advice on :) Discs are new to me, back in the day you had to be very privileged to have discs ha!

Looks good! What are those forks by the way?

The forks are Marzocchi Drop-Off 4's 100mm travel  Still need to get myself a special pump to adjust em though! Just let a bit of air out manually for the time being as they were pumped right up for road use

Is the short commute down a dirt jump or 4X track?

£150 which I thought was a bit of a bargain, I've seen the exact same bike go for a little more since on eBay. Very pleased with it, needs some new brakes though

    Hi GR33NIE,

You did really well getting the KONA for £150 as i was expecting it to be around the £220 mark but at least the brakes
won't be a big job and it should last you a good while looking at it's condition lol :) .

Those frames are awesome, really good base to build up on. Used to have one and they feel fine increasing the travel a little too if you feel the need. I had some pikes on there and it was awesome

That's a fine looking bike although could be fun on any type of distance if your legs are too long. Enjoy
