Changing Tub Tape - how often?

I have a set of Reynolds Assault tubs that I use as sunday best/race wheels - I got them last year and set them up with Tufo Exteme tub tape.

I put them away over winter but will want to get them out and on the bike again in the coming weeks as the weather (hopefully) warms up and I get back into racing, etc

The tyres are still in good condition, so no particular need to change them and I had no punctures (tempting fate, I know!) so have not changed the tape/tyres since this time last year

So, should I automatically change the tape given it has been on there 12m+? Or is it a case of checking the tyre-rim adhesion and only replace if it is weak in any areas?

Thanks for any advice

No need - I leave it on for years and years and years: the current stuff has been on there for two years with no problems at all.

Give it a once over and if its all ok then leave it be is what I'd say.
