Voodoo Bantu vs Hoodoo

Actually for a friend, I've just got a Kraken. He's interested in the Bantu but I'm reckoning there's some justification to the extra £100 for the Hoodoo.. Anyone any thoughts?

The Hoodoo is faster, because it's red.
You also get an extra cog at the back (9speed rather than 8) which is a good thing. The tyres are better, the forks are more expensive at least but I have no experience of them. My mate has a bantu and the forks on that are horifically sticky, he should really take it to halfords so check that out at the shop.
I'd personally prefer the brakes on the Bantu but that's only a preference I'm sure both would be fine.
Actually, quite nice that Hoodoo isn't it, hmmm.
If he's got £500 to spend I'd get the hoodoo (out of those two) if he's only got £400, the Bantu would be fine. Both are decent.Saracen Tenet 3 - 2015 - Dead - Replaced with a Hack Frame

Hoodoo if he has the money, tis the better bike.
With the NUSAPR12 code when ordering online you can knock it down another £50 so makes it a no brainer.0 -
Cheers guys, I think he should go Hoodoo too. They look really nice in the flesh, the frame's got a kind of matt finish to it.0

I was in the same boat and got the Hoodoo in the end. Tyres & fork easily justify the extra, tyres I believe around £30 each and seemed a lot better than the non-branded Bantu tyres and the fork is an air fork at the top of Raidon range. I don't use the remote lock out but maybe useful if it is ocassional taken on the road. The NUS code works well. I am pretty sure the receipt at the store says nothing about the NUS discount if that might be a problem. Think I paid around £400 for it (it was reduced as well).
However, I didn't have a great service from Halfords and would recommend going over it all to make sure parts are correctly torqued.0
