I did get my old man to walk into the bookies for me and put a fiver each way on "Hoof Hearted" once. He didn't speak to me for about a week after.

Anyone got any more serious tips?
Nobody told me we had a communication problem

Must admit that I'm not really sure where my 5 quid each way is going this year. I can see why Synchronised is favourite, but he's carrying a lot of weight and the ground is good to soft, so it might be a bridge too far. I quite fancy Seabass at 16/1 and West End Rocker at 12/1 (particularly if the ground is on the soft side).

But I'm not a big racing fan - I'm just going on the various reports I read in the press.

    Other than that,I dunno
  • If you like a long-shot then According to Pete looks pretty good. And a great story too.

Keep the fiver in your pocket
None of the above should be taken seriously, and certainly not personally.

My tip would be not to bet on it; it's a cruel race (and I'm not talking about the Chinese).
