I just joined and it took tooo long and I lost the item I wanted to review.
1. Make it easier to join (aka less effort)
2. redirect the new person to the item they were viewing, after confirmation of email.
3. make it easier to send bikeradar a concern or question

Glancing through the registration settings, I cannot see any option for the redirection you require at first glance. We can edit were it sends you, but must specify exactly where.
The effort requires exists to put spammers off joining up.
