If you've got decent budget, which it looks like you have, go for Goldbrick House.
Awesome food, really cool place and it has something about it that's a bit different. My fave Bristol eatery.

Yep it is, might be even more now bearing in mind we are 3 months on from when this was posted....0 -
Did the OP ever go and have that meal?
£200 for something that you will take 30mins to enjoy, only to be pushed from the anus 5-12hrs later, is not a wise investment. Even if it is in quest for poontang...0 -

yes, yes he did. they've been out a few times, normally on a sunday. he asked her where she wanted to eat and she pointed out said places. all less than £40 (she quite likes this place called pitcher and piano).
if in the mood, she may get treated this month too, although there's another friend who needs attention after a stressful week at work.0 -
EDIT: Doh. just checked the date on the OP.....projectsome wrote:I looked at the Jamie oliver italian food menu, thought yeah I can do all that easy... so on to the wine list. £15-30 a bottle yeah that's fine but nooo £130? I bet she'd pick that one!!!
The two of you should be able to have a good old slap up at one of the Jamie Oliver rests for £100 (we normally feed 5 of us there for only a little over £100). Pick the wine yourself. The house wine is quite drinkable, plus you can get a 1L carafe of it which gives you that little bit more than a regular bottle :-)
I would say, if you don't know much about food and wine, and haven't been to many decent restaurants, then don't try to go too posh right away. Jamie Olivers gaff will be good. The food is nice, service is good, price is reasonable and atmosphere is fun.0 -
