ITBs are in your knees (I thought).

Anyway, I went to Cadence Sport in Staffordshire. It's a bit of a trek (for both of us) but well worth it.

  • Hi,
Just getting into cycling as a way to regain my fitness after several hip surgeries, including two reconstructions. I have had Iliotibial band syndrome among other things but have been helped by an amazing physio in the Leeds area. I did a 120 mile round trip to see Louise, shes the best in the north as far as hips are concerned in my opinion. Have included a link if your interested, hope thats allowed, not quite sure as its my first time here so apologies if its not.

  • The ITB isa band of fascia (tough tissue) that runs from the hip to the knee down the outside of the leg (thigh). It's perfectly possible to get pain at any point along the ITB but knee and/or mid thigh are most commen places in my experience. Best treatment is stretching and rolling - google will find you loads of sites and vids and it's also been in several back issues of C+
