Campag Ergo levers

Hi,
My rear derailleur cable snapped for the 2nd time in 12 months and due to me persisiting with use of the levers I had to send the entire unit off for repair which is all done. The cable and covers have been replaced but the gear changes on the way down throught the gears arent that smooth, is it possible that the cable is snagging on the plastic cable guide under the BB as everything else is new or fully functional.
thanks john

Unlikely to be the cable guide if it is visually clean, unless you've routed it wrong
More likely where the cable end goes into the shifter isn't quite square due to the cable bend, or a kink in it somewhere.0 -
What model / year are the levers? There was an issue with the early 2009 new shape levers where the cable bullet end would catch the ratchet cover inside the body of the lever and cause sticky, imprecise shifting.
Could the person rebuilding them have used the wrong sort of gear cable so the bullet ends aren't passing around the ratchet guide properly?0
