Squeeking... help!

Hello all
Went out yesterday and bike got well coated. Cleaned it today and now i've got a squeek. It sounds like it's coming from the BB or the crank/pedals. I've tried to apply some lube but it's still there. Also when I turn the pedals it feels like it's sticking slightly?
Do I need to remove the BB and grease it? Any other ideas/suggestions? It's driving me mad!
I'm pretty new to MTB maintenance and only ever attempted the basics, so is it worth me sending it in to my LBS to get it stripped down and re-greased?
Cheers

The seals on pedal axles squeek something awful if they dry out. Without more info it could be anything though.0

If I'm in a similar situation I find it's best to just eliminate things one at a time i.e. try different pedals in the bike, if that doesn't solve it then try tightening chainset bolts and so on.
If none of those solve it then yea you are possibly best getting the bb re-greased.0
