Most underrated song of all time

So we have another thread on overrated, but what about underrated songs?

Either obscure ones or well-known ones which don't really get the recognition for being the masterpieces they really are.

My (semi-)obscure one is Safesurfer by Julian Cope, which should be played to the nation on a daily basis.
A more well-known song which doesn't get the recognition would be Johnny B Goode - OK, we all know it's a fantastic piece of music, but I don't think that many people really listen to the lyrics about a boy who didn't have an education but his guitar playing gave him a future in which his "name will be in lights".

Aside from the fact that I don't like it and think it is over-rated, how can you say it is under-rated when Wikipedia says this:

The song is currently ranked as the No. 6 song of all time in an aggregation of critics' lists at acclaimedmusic.net.

TBH, it's always going to be more difficult to build stuff up than to knock it down.

I really like Introduction, by Scroobius Pip much more than the rest of his solo album

NSFW, and rap, so it's definitely not most peoples cup of tea, but personally his stuff stands out as really quite original.

That's just my point - as I said, people rate it as a great piece of guitar music (which it is), but Chuck Berry is often underrated by the public at large (not critics, who tend to know a bit more about these things) as a lyricist.

Did the venga boys go through some kind of surge of popularity amongst students a few years back? Obviously Rick graduated a few years back, and some guy I lived with as a fresher (2008) who had been at uni for about 4 years by then, as he changed courses lots, was really into them.

That post has just made me feel really old. Damn 5 year degree...

If you had mentioned 'Memphis, Tennessee' or 'Promised Land' we'd be having a different conversation...

Little Fluffy Clouds by The Orb.

Although it isn't technically a 'song' and probably not under rated by those who like it.

Meat Whiplash by the Fire Engines. A criminally ignored classic from 1982. I think I was the only person who bought it.

I always liked Incubus Sucubus by Xmal Deutschland and by complete contrast a Weather Report track, I think it's Confians, absolutely beautiful. It's sung in what sounds to me like some sort of French based patois , but then I only ever heard it whilst very drunk.
