As the title suggests, which 3 (max) books would you like to pass on to or at least recommend to your kids as nourishment to fuel the fire within?
Not necessarily bike related.
I'll start the ball rolling:
1) Winterdance: the Fine Madness of Running the Iditarod - Garry Paulsen
2) It's Not About The Bike: My Journey Back to Life by Lance Armstrong
3) Endurance: Shackleton's Incredible Voyage to the Antarctic by Alfred Lansing
&
4) Touching The Void -by Joe Simpson (it's my post!)
Okay.
I am falling at the first hurdle - I chose 4!
What I am asking is for some books to inspire, that can perhaps relate to the sports field, but the books themselves can be on related subjects.
I am looking to provide someone with a perspective on their forth-coming sports degree but perhaps from a left field perspective, books that they may never have read were it not for a different view of sport / adventure.
Thank you in anticipation.

An inspiring story of a climber overcoming some serious injuries.
A great read.0
