Getting comfortable on my bike.

Hi everone, I'm not a fast rider, just someone who loves to ride his bike, that's a Raleigh Venture Pioneer 27-speed touring bike, which I mainly use to commute 150-200 miles a week. I've been riding/commuting now for the best part of 7 years, but still find the need to fiddle with my position or bikefit. I believe I've got everything 'just so', except for my saddle. It's a Brooks, but the problem is ,I can't slide it any further to the rear, as it's reached the end of the rails. I think I need to slide it back another inch or so to get me perched just right, how can I achieve this?

  • OK sounds like a plan, thanks for the advice. Where do I get a cheap one?

your local shop, ebay or one of the myriad online sellers would be a good place to start but you need to find out what diameter you need. Most likely it's 27.2 mm but you need to check, it will probably be engraved on the seatpost somewhere near the bottom
