Wheels

So for the second time in a fortnight I have snapped a spoke in my back wheel.
Took the wheel into my LBS and asked about a complete re-spoke and was talking about a spare set of wheels.
I've now been looking at new wheels and have found a pair of Shimano RS30's for just over half of the RRP.
Has anyone got a pair and are they any good? I've obviously read the review on here and they seem decent for what I want.

Can we fix it?
Yes we can!

once one spoke goes it's not unusual to have others go soon after, the spokes next to the snapped one are subjected to extra load
they seem a bit heavy, shimano generally has a good reputation, but for a spare wheelset is it worth it? if it were me i'd either be getting the cheapest keep-me-riding ones, or look for an upgrade and the current set becomes the spare
rs30 can be had for around 132 from ribble plus shipping, but you could get a wheelset for much less - planet x do shimano r500 for 90 quid, or some of their own brand wheelsmy bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny0 -
I was actually thinking of keeping my current wheels as the spares to be honest and have the Shimanos as best.
It was Ribble that I looked on.

A spare wheelset is certainly worth its weight in gold - particularly if this is your only bike. I managed to wreck both rims on my Dawes while commuting (pothole of doom) - fortunately, I do have other bikes but I've now bought a new set of wheels (handbuilts from Spa Cycles) and a new pair of rims to build the old set into a second pair of wheels.Faster than a tent.......0

Rake, I've had situations in the past where I have had a new spoke put in, snapped a different spoke and then the newest spoke has been the next one to 'go'.
