Carphone Warehouse/ phone contrat advice help
My wife and I went into the Carphone Warehouse to upgrade her contract and get her a new phone. We filled out all the paperwork, picked a new phone and then left the store phone in hand. However reived our first bill and it was way over what it should of been. Called O2 up and they have no record of the contract we took out on my wifes account and we have been charged for data usage as the new phone is a smartphone. Checked the paper work after the call to O2 and the mobile number, address etc are all present and correct.
From what I can see they have given us a free phone and not processed the paperwork for the new contrat. This was all completed on the 18th of last month and we now have a smartphone without a contract it can be used on. I am assuming the Carphone Warehouse has failed to complete the contract so I could call up O2 and start a new contrat and get another new phone?
I have considered reurning to the Carphone Warehouse, however if we do this we will end up having to pay for the extra data usage on the old contract so will end up out of pocket!!

Your contract is with Carphone Warehouse - from what I can gather, your old contract was a rolling contract, and you have been charged on that, thinking your number has been transferred to a new contract?0
