Broken wrist (dominant hand) can't do a bloody thing. Can't even hold a pen. Can't cycle. It still hurts.

Fed up of sitting on the couch.

Have gained 2kg due to eating crap + no exercise.

Perfect cycling weather.

Another 2 weeks minimum in plaster cast

Home trainer - you can pedal it using one arm
Gym - leg press, squat machine, ski machine, step machine
Swim - Use a float and swim breastroke, cover up the plastercast in plastic
Long fast walk - walking is very good excercise
Sex - her on top, doggy fashion - don't need 2 hands
Eating - lettuce only (okay, and the occassional slice of cucumber)
Sleep - you need a minimum amount of calories to sleep
    Saunas.

    No excuses.

Surely you can use a turbo-trainer despite a broken wrist? It was out of the question with my broken collar bone and ribs but just a wrist might be doable. Sympathy anyway - I bet your skin is busy going all pale, flaky and manky under that cast as well :)

What do I ride? Now that's an Enigma!

I needed an operation to fix the broken bone and have a long wound, about 7cm long under my cast, so I am avoiding any exercise as I'm a "sweater" and don't want the wound getting moist and manky :-( so exercise is out

Seal the gaps up with silicone

    or

drill some holes on the cast for ventilation

    or

    both

    No excuses

You have my sympathies  I had my full left leg in plaster after being knocked off the bike. Exercise was completely impossible for 3 months. Whereas yourself, can and should be out walking, briskly. :)

You're right I suppose there's nothing stopping me going out for a brisk walk...

If it makes you feel any better, I've left the house about 4 times in the past 4 weeks.

Well you could at least be the perfect candidate to monster the myth or truth behind the perniciousness of

strength training is great for my cycling

He's still got 1 arm and 2 legs aint he??
Jeez .. think out of the box :D

no one said that bicep curls gonna get your ftp up by 50 points, but some people swear by lunges and squats, don't they?
I'm just giving Secteur something to do for the next n weeks, cos seemingly he'll be abusing himself sooner rather than later

Maybe he could get his nipples pierced and dangle weights from them?

Just trying to think outta the box ;)

Right you lot, there's not going to be any self abuse or nipple piercing here ok, so if that's why you're all here then you'll be sadly disappointed!
