Has anyone had any good experience doing a bit of touring in the more forested areas of the peak district. Does anyone have any good routes or website I can go on to check out. Im really interested in doing a bit of camping getting the fires going, you know the usual. Im not after any hardcore trails just some nice trails that go on forever. :?:
Many Thanks.

If you want to experience proper forests and mountain biking, you'd be better off avoiding the Peak District. For that matter, I'd avoid England all together and get to Scotland or Wales.
I think the largest amount of forested area in the Peaks is around Ladybower Reservoir. But there are very few bridleways within the trees. You could ride them all in a morning, and if you set up camp, you'd struggle to really be off the beaten track.
But don't let me put you off, I'm sure it'll be fun, in fact, I'm rather jealous to be honest !0
