My GT frame... should I upgrade

Right my names george and I want to get into some serious racing over the summer... ive never raced before.
In preparation for the summer, ive upgraded my GT series 4 2010 series from shimano sora to 105, and the wheels from whatever they were to planet x 52mm carbon clinchers. I will be getting money in this week and was wondering whether it is worth upgrading my frame to carbon or not?
any advice would be helpful GEORGE
