road seatpost on a xc hardtail

I'm hoping someone can help me ,I have been looking for a new seatpost (<£60) and very lightweight and i found this http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... elID=16370 it is in the correct size and length 27.2 x350 would this road seatpost be strong enough for AM stuff on a 125mm hardtail (i am 60kg )

Depends on how heavy you ride, if your butts not in the saddle it can't break the post!
I've seen lighter on XC bikes, reckon it would be fine.....Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0 -
Or get one of these - cheaper, similar weight, much better clamp.

Go for the carbon cycles one. Proper twin bolt ones are a massive improvement over the tat you generally see.0

Agreed, single bolt ones are a hassle. Interestingly while the Ebay seller says 160g, his scale says 175g.I don't do smileys.
