North York Moors
I've done Dalby several times but yet to tackle the moors themselves (relatives live in York) so, does anyone have any particular recommendations of areas to ride.
I have the V-Outdoors route book, couple routes like Rosedale Abby look good.
Any good shouts? Going there in couple of weeks so doing the research now.
Alternatively I could hit the Southern area of Yorkshire Dales (Pateley Bridge-ish), its just as far and thats another area I've not done.

Some cracking rides in that book - those around Rosedale are excellent. I'd just warn you off the "Ravenscar - Big Country" ride in anything other than the dry - the crossing of Fyligdales moor was a muddy, claggy horror when I did it last February.
Couple of good rides in the V-Outdoors book to the South Dales - Pateley Bridge Northwest is the best. Head a bit further North and there's lots of cracking stuff in Swaledale0 -
You could have a look here, or try asking the question there, a bit North York Moors based and very friendly.

On the Moors there are plenty of trails,we do a lot of riding up there taking in the areas of,Cockayne/Helmsley/Chop Gate/Fylingdales/Hawnby/Boltby.....not to sure what routes are in the V-Outdoors route book, but id deff look at Boltby Forest-Black Hambleton-Dale Head-Locker Bank-Boltby Forest one of my fav rides up on the moors.0

Cheers, theres a couple of rides in the guide book around Boltby but they're fairly short, I could extend them but not sure of where to go.
Do you have any GPX's of the routes you mention?0 -
Not to sure if this will help you at all,here are a few routes we do...Cockayne 22 miles,Boltby 19 miles,Cockayne 18 miles.0

I've been up on the Moors with altern for a fair few years, know a few decent routes. I've got a couple of GPX's and I'm sure I could map a few more out. PM your email if your interested.0
