Victoria Pendleton retiring soon :-(

She's just announced it during the world champs this afternoon. retiring after the Olympics. I went to make a cuppa and came back to have missed her speech but the commentators talking about it.

Shame. I expect she wants a life outside training.

    It isn't new news, I think she made an announcement last year about it.
    I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

    Was in last weeks Sunday Times sports too, interesting full page article.

    As a complete outsider to track cycling seemed a pity that her last Gold worlds won on a relegation fault on sprinters line (both thro` semis and finals), I`m sure all would have preferred a clean fault free result

    Be interesting to see how she shapes up in London. I would still back her to win one gold.

    She tweeted recently that she has just set a new personal best in terms of power when out on the track.

    I really hope she gets to the final of the sprint and is up against Mears.
