Adventure Bike

Hey guys,

Not sure if the MTB side of the forum is the right place to ask, I'm after an adventure bike. I already have a Giant Anthem. Somthing thats good on the road and on the trail and is a mile cruncher. I want something that will work on the commute but is happy to do a week around Scotland (baiscally won't let me down, if I see a good bit of single track while on tour)

I have been looking at the Salsa Fargo however its a little over my price range (my budget it £1000).

Any suggestions??

Genesis Croix de Fer. Vin Cox rode one round the world so can't be bad and I like mine. Hoverer it is pretty limited off road.

Good choice, slight out of my price but the cheaper cdf may be an option

If a CX bike is a possibility then the boardman one gets a lot of praise:

And for £900 you'd have a bit of change left over.

Yeah a CX is a possability, my only concern is the lack of rack and fender mounts for the odd adventure I plan on going on.

I like the boarman, I saw the review awhile ago in what mountain bike and it had a great write up.
