Hello
Instead of our usual Wednesday night off-road ride, we rode to the Moors Valley Country Park near Ringwood last night and did the blue trail there through the forest (imaginatively named 'Through the Forest' ) which was quite fun and I really wanted to recommend it as a GREAT little trail for anyone new to MTBing or wanting to introduce other halves, children etc to MTBing in a safe and fun environment. The trail was about 5 miles long I guess, and quite twisty through the trees, but no nasty hills and no techical features. Great for a beginner, but if you hit it fast (and in the dark as we did ) you have to keep on your toes or you'll end up in the trees
We usually hunt out the techy rides so this wasn't a standard ride for us, but I just wanted to let everyone know about it. I didn't even know it was there
There's also a cafe, the obligatory Go Ape, BBQ spots etc. If I wanted to introduce anyone to biking I would take them there....
Edited to add - it's also the place to dig out a light hardtail with narrow bars if you have the choice..... I don't, and a full bouncer with 140mm travel and wide bars was not the best choice

Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the number of moments that take your breath away....
