Bike for around £700

Hi i used to be into mountain biking about 10 years ago and I'm looking at buying a new bike, I am well out of touch with whats good now. I have a maximum of £700 to spend. I am after a hardtail with reasonable frame, forks, brakes and gears. So far i have been looking at the following bikes but can't decide and also I may have missed some better alternatives.

2012 Cube Attention
2012 Cannondale Trail SL 3 (£750 more then I would like to spend) or maybe save some money and go with SL4 (£600) Is it worth the extra?

I'm looking in the same price range as you & have found a 2011 Kona cindercone for £650, 2012 Boardman HT comp £650 both of these I like a lot but going to have a look at a 2012 Trek 4900 again £650 & poss a spesh Rockhopper at £6001991 Kona Cinder Cone in Cinder Gold
