Looks like I'm going to get blown home tonight. So I'll just be cold and wet rather than cold, wet and very very slow (like I was this morning)

Try telling the wind this. The flag on the Leeds town hall is still blowing to the East*.

Still, it looks a lot nicer and less cold out than it was this morning.

*Edit - ahhh, but the clouds are heading to the west. This is good news......

Sorry, sorry! It's quite obviously the the vortex I created battering along up the A23 this morning. My ride home tonight in the opposite direction should nullify it.

God that was as scary as coming in this morning.

Couple of sections the cross wind was so strong I genuinely thought the bike was going to be blown out under me.

Mind you, yet again - drivers were astonishingly patient behind me. I'm not sure whether it was the shock factor of a guy on a bike in gale force winds or me doing my meercat looking every-fricking-where thing, but I got a LOAD of room from everyone and people waiting and waiting until it was perfectly safe to pass - even got a few waves from people :)
