Well after having originally wanted the 2011 Specialised Rockhopper (white/red) and then the 2011 BeOne Karma Race but neither can be got anymore (I have tried so many places), I have had to re-look into what is out there. Looking for "around" the £600 mark and I'm currently now thinking it's between the 2012 Cube Attention and the 2012 Cube Analogue Disk.
Cube Attention - £679: http://www.tredz.co.uk/.Cube-Attention- ... _49357.htm
Cube Analogue Disk - £585: http://www.tredz.co.uk/.Cube-Analog-Dis ... _49411.htm
Is the Attention worth the extra over the Analogue or would I be better looking at something else.
Also, I know I need to get there and sit on one but would a 20" frame be about what I'm looking at (6' 1", 10.5 stone).

I have the 2012 Attention so I'm biased. The extra £80 is worth it for a better 10 speed gearing, better fork with remote lockon and SLX stuff.
I've spammed it before but chainreaction have the 2011 LTD which has a lighter better frame and better components for £660 but not sure if they have any 20"ers....0 -
The drivetrain is nice on the Attention, but it ends there, the fork is really low rent, heavy finishing kit. For nearly £700 I think there are better buys.0

I can potentially get the Attention for nearer to £600 than £700 (brand new).0 -
Yep, the Fury and Rockrider have really good forks for the cash - but it doesn't end there, nice kit throughout.0

The Cubes look gorgeous though!
Apart from the fork and possibly the brakes, there ain't much in it?
It's either 3x10 Deore/SLX or 2x10 SRAM X5?
Not an expert in SRAM but I'm guessing they're pretty much the same level of quality?0 -
What is wrong with the Fury? I have one, its a brilliant bike, embarasses alot more expensive exotica on the trail too.
Have a read of the MBUK test of it, and if you still dismiss it from your lineup, then its your loss0 -
The Fury has an awesome spec, much better than the Attention.
But the Cube...well, most people are brand whores and Cube know how to style bikes! Still better specced than similar priced branded bikes like Specialized and Trek but Decathlon and Halfords under cut everyone else0 -

It's like the Rockrider 8.1, I've read so many decent things about it but it just looks terrible on the eye :shock:0 -
You'd honestly ride an inferior bike just because the other didn't look the way you want?! At this price it is paramount you get a good fork or your off road experience could be compromised.0

Got to agree with everyone else the Fury and the Rockrider are better buys. Yes the Cube looks nice but those forks are not the best. The Fury is a pretty decent looking bike too.
Boardman Comp is £649 right now too...
