but to answer your question whatever you ride currently. people will probably say the 'ideal' is a 150mm travel bouncer.

i will be riding a 140mm bouncer round the eastridge forest enduro in august. my mate will be using a 100mm bouncer.

I would go for a hardcore hardtail. Lightweight & fun. Trails won't be too technical, even a 150mm travel trail bike will be more than you need.
