It came with a set of Avid Elixir 3's but not sure how good they are compared to the XT's i have on my 456 carbon hardtail. they have only have had 5hrs use so far so bit unsure weather to stick with them or i have a choice of two options swap brakes over ie XT's on to the Zesty or just get another set of XT's
I've not had any Elixir's before so be good to hear back from anyone using them.

Fantastic
only thing is i'd miss them on my hardtail so might have to invest in a new set ot get the SLX verion for the hardtail0 -
Just get the slx mate there identical to xt in terms of power I had avid elixer r and got xts for my full suspension. Once I used them I brought slx for my hardtail and I will never get another set of avoids again0

get another XT set from Rose bikes (pay by paypal to avoid bank account difficulties). Although the exchange rate usually means you pay a bit more than advertised, you still get them miles cheaper than anywhere else!0
