Good afternoon,
Some of you may have seen my earlier posts, but for the benefit of those who haven't I am organising a sportive event in Thurlby consisting of an 80, 30, and 10 mile route to give all abilities a chance. The main route has nearly 1000metres of ascent, and will be a nice challenge with great scenery, and quiet roads in and around Rutland, Leics, and Lincs.
All entrants will be entered into a prize draw with a chance to win Terry Wright Cycle vouchers (£50, £35, £15, and a £30 Tescos voucher. All proceeds will be split equally between Help for Heroes and the Motor Neurone Disease Association. No private gain will be made!
Complimentry Tea, coffee, snacks will be available to all entrants, and those undertaking the 80 mile course will have use of a feed station complete with energy product. Although we would expect people to have a well maintained bike fit for purpose, no one will be left stranded. Marshalls will also be at key points on the route, and emergency numbers will be manned throughout the day.
Online registration closes Friday this week "Good Friday". Entry will be available on the day, but it will assist us greatly to put on a well organised event if people sign up in advance to give us an idea of the number of riders expecting to take part.
For more information, and to enter online visit https://www.sportsentrysolutions.com/ra ... cordID=128
If you want to find out more about our overall aim of cycling from Rome to Home (London) which the organisers of this sportive will be undertaking in August 2012 check out http://www.rometohome2012.com
Kind regards,
Stewart, and the RometoHome team.
