FSA K Force (ceramic BB), Dura Ace or Rotor...FSA's my personal fav as I like the carbon finish, Dura Ace is about the same weight. Rotor are superb bits of kit. Their all pretty stiff. BB30 if your frame can take it Dura Ace will need adapters) If your an attacker rider I'd think a double would be more suited...what I use as spin to much with a compact :D

What other groupset are you using on the rest of the bike?

The answer will depend on which type of bottom bracket your frame accepts

Money no object then THM Carbones Claviculas would be my choice for standard BSA and Cannondale SISL for BB30
  • For me it would be a debagded Lightning SL with CT2 rings. For the price they can't be beaten. Light, pretty stiff and something a bit different

Campagnolo. I've dabbled with your FSA k force light and Rotor cranks, but they are not better.

You should also consider if you want to have an integral power meter with your crankset.

Campag may look good but the fixture is rubbish and not the best mechanically. BB replacement is a faff...bike shop hate them !!

Powertorque is rubbish, but I am talking Ultra Torque, which is very good. You never need to replace the BB and the bearings on the axle can be changed in 5 minutes and cost like a Shimano BB.
Bike shops with unqualified staff must hate them, as you actually need to know a little more than just screwing and unscrewing... need to know how to use a bearing extractor... like a real mechanic...

Cycling plus slated a DeRosa that had Campag cranks few issues back ! Doesnt ultra torque still join in the centre tho ? Worst place mechanically...tho keeps lined clean from bolts I spose!

If Cycling plus says so... clearly they know better than a company which has made crancks for the best part of a century. Never heard a motivated bad word about Ultra Torque... only problems external bearings are exposed to the elements and wear quicker, but that is true for Shimano and SRAM and all other manufacturers

    Was it this review:

I'd hardly call it slated - to quote; "The Power Torque cranks’ need for a removal tool means a headache for home mechanics though." So the Athenas are Power Torque, not Ultra Torque.

Anyway - lets not turn this into a groupset row - it's not going to help the OP.

Anyway - for something a bit different - how about one of these:

Power torque only applies to everything Athena & below, Ultra torque above Athena, ceramic with Super Record. The number of grinding SRAM Boardman that I have followed certainly would not sway me to with them!
