Got a 2009 Spesh stumpjumper expert carbon and need to replace the outer chainring. It's a shimano and been told it's a XT but theres no numbers on it, will any shimano ring fit or does it have to be a XT? A lso what would be a good replacement in terms of upgrade to the ring?

Thanks

Does it say XT on it? In my opinion there is no upgrade over shinano. If it is XT, any will fit with BCD of 104 and a file.

It say's it's a ''Custom Shimano FC-M762 XT, 2pc'' on the Specialized web site, but on the Shimano web site there is no FC-M762 crank set that i can find?

You won't specialised often get shim to make off range stuff.

Like I said a XT 760 or 770 will fit may need a tweak with a file.
