Very nice.. always had a love for Konas.. a Lava Dome was my first 'proper' bike back in '95.. used to have a scab too, 2003 model:
You mention a 456.. great bikes (had the carbon version), but with your fork travel, would you not be better off with an inbred or a scandal? Depending on what kind of riding you do.. my brother has a scandal and it's great for trails/xc etc.. would save weight over a 456 too (looking at your bike, it seems more set up for XC, but correct me if I'm wrong!).
In fact, a guy on here, flybywire, is selling an 18" scandal frame at a bargain price. If I had the cash (and a place to put a second bike!), I'd have it off him. Bought from him a few times, never disappointed.
Anyway, enjoy the bike, happy riding and welcome to the forum!0 -
yea i do mainly xc riding and the odd commuting to work, i will be replacing the forks if i do get the 456 anyway, the travel on the pace's isnt long enough for me i find myself bottoming them outOn-One Carbon 456 - http://www.bikeradar.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=128632370

Fair enough For XC and commuting, I'd definitely have a look at the Scandal as well, but if you want the option of bigger hits, then the 456 would be a good way to go0
