New Bike Lock

Hi,

Just ordered a new rockhopper (my first bike) and want to keep it secure! What's the best lock I can get for it? Any recommendations?

I haven't sorted the insurance but I want gold standard one. Does anyone know the difference between the kryptonite new York 3000, standard and HC?

I also want a secondary chain for the front wheel, any suggestions?

I have the NY3000, fiddly locking mechanism, but very stout lock. For 50 quid is good value.

But many insurance companies are very specific about brands and models.
