hey all, this may be a daft question but how tight should the race for the bottom bearings on the headset be when you put it on the fork? ive got some on one carbo forks and an on one headset, taken off the bottom race and it was real tight getting all the way on the fork (the fork widens slightly at the bottom)... didnt know if this was right or not?

any help would be great!

Yes they needs forcing on. Which is why there is a special too to fit. It.

Ah ok, thanks for that... I just watched a YouTube video of a guy installing a headset and it literally dropped straight on the fork, all way to the bottom. Threw me a bit!

    Thanks again!

Try reading Parktools if you want real info.

Splt races can be an easy fit. A slack fitting one is usually wrong. Damaged or. The fork is in need of some work.
