Cancellara on the start line at Paris-Roubaix
So according to the link below Fabian could be back for Paris-Roubaix in 7 days time.
How epic would it be if he came back after today and totally rode away from everyone.

EDIT: Link has been removed so no doubt was a really poor taste April fools.

Pozzato was racing a week after breaking his collar-bone:

The Trofeo Laigueglia is hardly Paris-Roubaix though!0 -
Broken in 3 places, he's a fool if he tries to ride any race, with that sort of damage.
Even if it's screwed & plated, the pain would be incredible, the risk of greater damage, if he falls again, would be astronomical.Remember that you are an Englishman and thus have won first prize in the lottery of life.0 -

It was an April fools joke, Velonation put a facebook post later on saying something like "I hope people didnt take our april fools joke too seriously", with lots of comments saying "it was in poor taste so we didnt like it" or words to that effect. By the time I had read that on facebook it had been taken down.
I believe that Fab's collarbone is broken in 3 places and I doubt he will be back in a race for a few weeks.0 -
Actually inner ring is saying its a 'cracked collarbone' so maybe its not as bad...http://inrng.com/2012/04/tour-of-flanders-winning-moment/#more-79060

Cycling News reporting Fab broke his collar bone in four places.Cycling News wrote:Fabian Cancellara's surgery has shown that he suffered a quadruple fracture of the collarbone. The RadioShack-Nissan rider has undergone a successful operation Sunday evening in Basel, Switzerland.

The team are saying he could theoretically ride on rollers as soon as tomorrow, but as his Spring is basically over he might as well take some time to recuperate properly.0 -
Front page news in our local paper. Apparently he was operated on yesterday here in Basel with collar bone broken in three places. They claim he's out for 6 - 8 weeks, but will be OK for the TdS and Olympics. Three weeks off the bike then 3 - 4 getting back in to form. Story basically was that luck finally ran out for the luckiest rider on the pro tour. Is this really his first big accident in 12 (?) years of being pro?0
