My 2001 Heckler works fine for what I ride generally but its ageing Fox float coil spring has no real adjustment to it and bounces under power, does nothing on small stutter bumps and rebounds wildly on bigger hits.

So the question is:

a) Spend $300 (I am in Canada) on a RS MOnarch RT3 and hope that does the trick in tidying up the rear

or

b) Spend $3000-4000 on a new bike (Camber/Stumpy/Trance etc)

New might be nice but 10x nicer?

A new bike is always a good idea :) but I also hate to see a usable bike go to waste and can rarely bring myself to get rid of bikes anyway. So I'd go for option 3, upgrade the Heckler now then buy a new bike :D

    Cheers
