Whats the script here?

Am I missing something? When surfing away looking at frames an unusually high amount of `Chris Boardman` frames have cropped up. Ebay especially. Seems they have a huge following or appear to have.
I don`t know about you but if I`m looking for a hardtail frame to build up I `d rather look to mountain bike specific gurus (Joe Murray, Gary Fisher etc) for influence, than some roadie thats stuck his name to some chassis. He won one gold medal in 1992 at some obscure event. Hardly the Tour de France was it? Anyway, Chris Hoy won a few golds but I still wouldn`t buy a mountain bike because his name was on it. Its a bit like Landrover, Zanussi and all the other junk out there.
Chris Boardman? You`d be as well with Stan Boardman.

(tongue in cheek guys)

A lot of frames are on ebay because people buy the bargain full bikes and strip them down, or change the frames because they (wrongly) think they are inferior.

Boardman knows A LOT about the mechanics of frame design and geometry, and is a very good MTBer. He also has a large team (is not some one man band), is not simply just his name with no input. I have spoken to the guy in person about this.

You could say that since Muuray's last win was in 1989 that he is not relevent today ;-). Which is nonsense of course. Both he and Chris know a lot about bikes on the road and off it.

Also the Boardman frames are made by the same people who make Specialized.
