Wheels, Hubs, Gears etc...

One thing I've never done is change my wheelset on any bike I have owned. What are the various rudiments when changing from, say, Easton wheels with Easton hubs to Zonda Campag/Fulcrum etc wheels? What components must be changed, if any, when running a Shimano 105 groupset? I understand, and am competent in many things 'bike' but I'm just not sure with wheels.

TIA

Assuming the hub widths are normal (ie the bike is a normal, modern road bike) all you need to do is make sure that the freehub is Shimano type. Otherwise you'll need a hammer to put the cassette back in and it still won't work properly

As Rolf says, the only thing you need to worry about is manufacturer. SRAM and Shimano use the same freehub body, Campagnolo is different. As long as your wheels are sold as SRAM/Shimano compatible (and aren't mountain bike wheels!) you'll be fine.
