What's the best option out there i just want a light small bag to keep a spare tube, keys etc

ive got an old fashioned with metal attachment but the thing kept falling off on my 1st ride on the new bike, need something new as i can't be arsed to stop and mess with it every 30 mins

Fizik bags clip to Fizik saddles using an integrated clip system (ICS?)

I've got a Topeak one and it's been great. Whichever one you go for, IMO, go for a version that clips on rather than one that has straps and buckles as they are a pain and the bag just swings around all over the place.

You'll get as many replies from folk who prefer the straps cos they've had the plastic clips break!

I have a Topeak wedge pack with the clip attachment and thought it was great. very easy to attach / remove.

Until I fitted a Brooks saddle, and found the clip wouldn't fit the rails :(

Bit of DIY sowing and I have attached a strap to it instead, and all is well again :D

I find that saddle packs with velcro straps are the worst as the velcro rubs holes in your lycra shorts/tights. Go for a plastic clip on job every time...

Is what I have 2 of, brilliant, never broken and very conveniant. This one can fit an inner tube, 2 CO2 cartrages, iPhone, keys, credit card and multi tool. I also have the 'micro' which will just about do 1 tube, 2 CO2 and a multi-tool.

I use the micro for racing and the small for training. You can get both in the 'clip on type' (where the clip clamps on the saddle rails and the bag slide on or with velcro straps.

    I have one of these:

    http://www.evanscycles.com/products/alt ... k-ec028049

comes in 3 different sizes and 4 different colours, velcro straps, doesn't wobble. Small is too small large is too big, medium is just right for a tube, p*ncture kit keys, chain tool KMC links, tyre levers, two chocolate biscuits in a ziploc bag. :D

And i thought it was just my big thighs at fault for rubbing on the velcro of my saddle bag. I get round it by putting some tape over the velcro. Im glad its not me though that suffers from this. :D
Ive also noticed that the straps actually wear away the seat rails too.

How have you attached the saddlebag? I have mine looped around the rails and it doesn't come into contact with my shorts at all.

I've got a Specialized bag with velcro straps which go round the seat rails. Somehow it wore holes in my shorts. I cuoldn't work out what it was at 1st then someone at my club said it's a pretty common problem with velcro bags. My thighs aren't even that big! I'm pretty skinny....

I've done away with a seat bag altogether and got one of these TriBags
    http://www.topeak.com/products/Bags/TriBag_raincover

So far I'm very pleased with it... it takes 1 x tube, 3 x tyre levers, 1 x CrankBros multitool, 1 x KMC Missing Link, 1 x Park Tools Emergency Tyre Boot Patch plus I can squeeze in an energy bar or gel.

Those Topeak Tribags are really good, but not particularly large.

If you want something bigger but not a seat pack, then I have these Abus bags designed for locks but equally good for other stuff.

Save some money and use your back pockets.

I take keys, iPhone, spare tube, co2, levers, cash and food. On rides over 50 miles I'll take 2 tubes and gas.

Or get an old water batter with a wide neck and store things in that on the seat tube. Keeps it all airtight, looks better on your bike and doesn't ruin your seat post.
