2011 Recon Silver TK. 100mm To 120mm?

Hi purchased a pair of Rockshox Recons and have heard you can remove a spacer from one of the legs and increase the travel from 100mm to 120mm. BUT im not sure if the conversation i read was for the Solo Air (gold) version.

Also at some point i will have to service them and will need oil/grease etc so who makes the best? Or will i have to use Rockshox's "own" brand because of the guarantee?

With most recons is no way of knowing until you open them and see if the spacer is there.

LMAO! Will make the first service "eventful" (will it...... Won't it be there!). Any advice concerning the lube situation :shock: :oops: :roll: .

5wt for the damper, 15wt for the lube - Fuchs is good.
