fmf pedals

the wife has just bought a second hand orange crush. Everything standard except for the pedals. They are fmf flats. I've never heard of them. Are they for bmx maybe? They look great and are very light. I want some for myself, but can't find any for sale..anywhere. Have they been discontinued?
