Size of rotors that can be fitted without adaptors?

OK, I know my Post Mount from IS Mount but what I've never figured out or been able to ascertain from websites, is what is the "standard" sized rotor that can be fitted, either Post Mount or IS Mount for each manufacturer of brake.

I've just procured some oldish Magura Marta SL (circa 2007) bits and dabs.

In my bundle I've now got a random IS calliper, and 2 Post Mount callipers with adaptors.

I want to fit the IS Calliper to the rear because the frame has a standard IS Mount but don't want to fit it with an adaptor.

The question is what size rotor will fit as standard. I'd imagine it would be 160 or 140 but before I go and waste my money, is there any sure fire way of knowing? Or do brake manufacturers not have a standard rotor size in mind because all frame mounts are different?

I've looked at the Magura site and even asked on their form but all to no avail.

    It all depends.
Magura, as you mention them, do calipers that are different sized to use no adaptors but take different sized discs. Hope also dd ths with their IS mount calipers.

Read the topic in the FAQs as if overs the normal mount sizes.

But standard sizes are 160/140 f/r

I checked the "Magura" topic in the FAQs but is there anything else around?

I also noticed the Hope calliper table but I'm still none the wiser for the Maguras!
