Ive ordered these two cranksets for my brothers bike, which is a mongoose amasa super and currently has hollowtech crankset.

I have to send one back, which is the better one?

but ive just found out I need to order a bottom backet for the octalink yet i dont know what size and the bike isnt with me and ive searched on google trying to find the specs but no joy.

    Send them both back and get a shimano HT 2 crankset. Eg Deore. Comes wil BB cups. Get the BB faced by the LBS though.

    wont they work with a bracket and octalink?

    My choice would be the Shimano Acera, if I had to make one.
    A Flock of Birds
    + some other bikes.

    Aye i know they arent top range but the bike is just for commuting, do you know which bracket i should order? and will it fit even tho the bike originally had a hollowtech crankset?
